Industry News

Businesses are making a big comeback in Michigan.  In 2016, Commercial Alliance booked more than $150 million in new Member Business Loans (MBL) and its servicing portfolio now exceeds $500,000,000.

Founded in 2004, Commercial Alliance provides a comprehensive suite of loan-related services to its credit unions including:  Underwriting, documentation, servicing, post-closing administration, training and consulting.  The experienced staff at Commercial Alliance continues to mitigate MBL risks by using a disciplined approach and a clear set of procedures to address the necessary back room functions.  This frees up our credit unions to expand their current business relationships and develop new financing opportunities within their local communities.

Throughout 2017, we will expand our education curriculum.  Topics and training dates are currently being communicated.  With special emphasis on the recent changes put forward by the NCUA, credit unions can receive the information needed to manage this dynamic market.

Our expanded Loan Participation Program will provide additional opportunities for income while minimizing the credit union’s need for additional resources or new hires.  This Program can also allow credit unions to become a more relevant player in their respective markets.

Upcoming Events

We look forward to meeting you during the upcoming MCUL Annual Convention & Expo, June 8th and 9th, at the Amway Grand Plaza, Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Commercial Alliance will staff a booth those two days and attend the “Corks for a Cause” networking reception as a corporate sponsor the evening of Wednesday, June 7.  See you then!
